Intel SL7NA Laptop Processor (Gateway)
Got the same processor from a toshiba and tried it in the same intel board - PEBT2 - same result. Did get it to post on an IBM board with a 865 chipset but it was a work board and not one i could keep or screw up so i did not test any further. At least I know the chip works. The IBM's bios reported the chip correctly and not as a 1.2GHz like some people seem to be reporting when trying the Mobile P4-M's in desktop boards.
Hyper Threading
The specs forget to mention that this is a hyper threading capable CPU
Thanks
Intel D845PEBT2 Motherboard
The problem is the size of the processor's L2 cache. The Intel D845PEBT2 motherboard does not support processors with 1MB of L2 cache. Here's the link to your motherboard's supported processors.

Hope this helps.
Intel SL7NA Laptop Processor (Gateway)
I tried this Laptop processor in my perfect and recent bios-flashed Intel D845PEBT2 Northwood 478 pin 533fsb Motherboard.
It would not even POST.
