Chook and Neon_WA pick up stuff from curbside collections (eg when councils have special collection days people often put out pcs). They have found some good stuff through these, so maybe keep an eye out or go to the website of councils around you as they often list dates for collections in certain streets.

Post subject: I have a question for smithy,Neon_WA and Chook
Where am I able to find these vintage chips in Melbourne?
I visited few local computer shop and contacted some IT equipment recycle company for vintage chips.
From local computer shop, I got a lot of Pentium III and AMD duron chips.
Chips earlier than 486 are hard to find.
Some e-waste recycle company just told me that they are not allow to sell or give recycled content to individuals.
Any good ideas to find good chips in my local area?
Thanks in advance!
