I hope so, because in his other links he notes that the processor is "unlocked" with an S-Spec of :Q****, and on this one it doesn't look like he did that. If it's not an ES, I'm screwed. And you're double screwed |

well one auction says:
You are bidding on a pair of the pictured Xeon 1.5GHz CPU's.
the other one though doesnt mention anything about pictures
so gshv would be well within his rights to file a buyer dispute for a 'not as described' item if he wanted..
chipcollector tho, youre pretty much screwed. still, a xeon for $22 isnt a bad price? |

Skold,
You are bidding on a Xeon 1.5GHz CPU
It means the same thing as if you say "You're bidding on the item pictured". What you win is that item, but does it say that exact item? Nay |

no
if someone puts a picture of an engineering sample, and says 'youre bidding on the pictured cpu', theyre implying that youre bidding on an engineering sample
using the same car analogy, if someone posts a picture of a 2002 jetta tdi, and you can see the tdi badge in the picture, and when you go to pick up the car you find out its gas, not deisel, those are entirely not the same thing, even if the cars look identical. |

yea, thats why you should email the seller
if you filed a dispute over it though im pretty sure ebay would come out in your favor. an ES is going to be worth more than a normal version of the chip. |

Here's a good example of what I'm trying to get at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6760054327&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
It says at the very bottom
(The pictures is representational of the real item, but not of the actual item.)
How would you read something like that? There's a picture of a very rare amd Slot A CPU, and it literally says it's of the real item but NOT of the actual item.
That's like someone using another persons picture because they don't have a camera; but really, you're getting something completely different even though it says it represents the real thing
But nonetheless, I showed you the reply of the seller and I am indeed receiving an ES |

You shouldn't post things like this on Sunday morning. I think my brains stuck in infinite loop now Rebooting... I've got what the seller meant: "The picture is representation of the real item, but not the actual item."

Cool. I hope I'll get ES chips too, and if not... Well, the price I paid is not bad even for non-ES Xeon processors.
