XC68000L is certainly the best processor in your collection. Does it have a serial number?

The XC is an engineering sample and therefor much more rare than normal chips - though it is "just" the Motorola-286.
At this time most chip collectors focus on Intel chips and so it might happen that you don't get a really good offer for your chip (even I think on thos board are a lot of honorable people:-)
I also collect non-Intels and have almost a complete "first-collection".
When I try to sell some chips on ebay (like right now) they often go for cheap money - but I discontinued to start with $1 - I sold some for that:-((.
So at this time I keep my best non-Intels and wait.
Some day more collectors will see that there are other chip manufacturers than Intel - and then your chip will be REALLY a good thing.
Engineering sample in its original box - wow!

the full label is

MACSS
XC68000L
R9M8013

if I remember correctly MACSS was a development system for the 68000 like the Exorciser for the 6800, R9 is the silicon release and its week 13 in 1980.

is there any extra value in something being first working silicon? the 6822 samples are definitely off the very first working batch and the first plastic packaged.
