Which processor is better for games?

PentiumŪ D Processor 945 (4M Cache, 3.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

or

AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+ (socket 939) ADA4800DAA6CD to be exact.

I know that the 4800+ is the best CPU for the socket 939 ones so probably the pentium one is better but I am just checking.

Athlon 4800+ is faster:

Click on the "Performance" tab.

I dont know how I even came across this but I had a P_D 945 in a Asus p32n sli board and in a P5K premium running stock and at 4.5Ghz and a 4400+ toledo core in a DFI UT Lanparty NF4 and it was overclocked too. Both had the same vid card in them.(8800GTX).

The P_d destroyed it it general all around use. Granted, the P5K platform is newer and way more versatile, To put things in perspective, a newer Xeon 3210 at 2.13 Ghz stock destroyed the P_d 945 @ 4.5ghz. This was with the P5K, newer architecture of the cpu made a big difference.

What does this mean, Shocked I dont know, I was bored today.
