Hello to all.
I have an AMD N80C186-16 processor and I need to know if this one is compatible with the 80286 motherboards that have socket of the same type (68-pin plastic LCC).
Thanks.
Now in spanish:
Hola a todos.
Tengo un procesador AMD N80C186-16 y necesito saber si es compatible con las placas base de 80286 que tienen socket del mismo formato (68-pin plastic LCC).
Gracias |

80186 and 80c186 are not pin-compatible with 80286 processor. 80186 has many peripherals on a chip, so some pins on 80186 are allocated just for those peripherals. Also, 80186 has multiplexed data and address busses, while the 80286 has them separated.
