I'm about to buy a Pentium A80501-60 SX835 FDIV bug with a motherboad. I've been offered the price of approx $20 by the seller. That is when I usually buy Pentiums for $1-2. Do you think it is a fair price? How rare is this chip?

I need an answer urgently.

Regards,
Slava

If it is 20$ with motherboard, it is a good price.
If not, it is too much expensive, because it is not in a perfect state...

Yes, $20 for both the cpu and the mobo. So you think it is fair? Hmm.
Okay, thanks. Hope I will be able to lower the price still. That is going to be my first FDIV bugged Pentium Smile

Condition isn't good of this CPU. 20 USD is too much for this CPU Sad I would go for 8 USD max. SX835 is most common CPU with FDIV bug. I had them many.

BTW mobo is only problem - higher shipping cost

I collect lots of fdiv pentiums (becha couldn't guess that) the sx835 is the most common socket 4 fdiv. Ones that have no "processor" writen under pentium are much more common then those with "processor". Beyond that those without "processor" are also generaly in better condition text wise. They did not tend to have as nasty a heat sink glue applied to them. For these reasons I would not pay that much for one in poor shape. I would probably pay $5.00. On the other hand, working socket 4 motherboards are quite uncommon. If you like to build working vintage systems it might be worth your while.
