I ask, because i scraped the other day one :'( I didnt knew old GPU could go so high. I remember having a voodoo was 1337 (so cool back then). then i think it was bought by another company. after they disapear i went with ATI |

€150 is currently the highest offer I got. 3dfx went bankrupt due to mismanagement and was taken over by Nvidia in 2001. |

There is a rather large market for older video cards, especially higher-end AGP. It is definitely worth doing a quick google/ebay search whenever you are dealing with old video cards or ISA sound cards.

And it's also the reason I can't find a HD 3850 AGP for a not-retarded price  |

Just a correction , nvidia bought the bankrupt 3dfx , so they wouldn't get in the way of their war with ati , and then froze the technology , until they released SLI from 6600GT up and froze everything again.
Like Tseng labs bought by ati. |

NVIDIA didn't buy whole 3Dfx, only their intellectual property. The rest was auctioned off to pay the creditors.
