Hellp every one
I got some ram today. Their module code is PVS34G2000LLKN, and their label is marked with Dummy Sample. This is the first time I have heard of Dummy Sample, so I hope you can provide me with relevant information. During a Google search I found that tags with the same module code did not say sli ready. I'd like to know more about the memory or the dummy sample.
My current guess is that Dummy Sample means Mechanical Sample?(By the way, none of them work properly)
My English is not very good, but i still looking forward to your reply!

You can always put them into a board (use one you don't care about too much, in case there are shorts) and see if it works Smile

Dummy sample never work.

They're basically designed for display purpose and to avoid being stolen due to their non-working nature.

Marketing sample is a working sample sent for evaluation or as a reward by the marketing department.

Mechanical sample is a non-working sample usually built before the availability of working samples, to check physical dimensions when integrated in a final product.
