| i have an intel and for some time my cpu in heatinag at about 60 degrees. before that it was at 40 degrees. i think it is the silicon paste. Please help me!! Thank you. |

| uffff prescott processors are really hot. With the OEM heatsink it could get up to 90ēC at 100% cpu usage (this is not a joke), so i decided to buy a enormous zalman heatsink (i don't remember the model) and i get up to 45ēC at 100% cpu usage. Your prescott temp are relatively normal so don't worry about it |

Yeah and good paste like Arctic Ceramic or Silver or MX. Or change CPU to Core 2 Duo and feel higher performance at less heat and power consumption. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum.

| yes^^..my socket is also 478...quiet and cool..my friend has socket 775 and can OC his machine to 3.7 GHz at ~ 40 C° with an arctic cooling |
