I my memory it seems that hp made some DIP x86 cpus. am i right?

As far as I know they mmade none of their own design.

They did house number Intel (and other parts) as well as fab'd a few companies chips (ULSI comes to mind)

stuff like 1818-xxxx and 1820-xxxx

I have a D80287 made by Intel with HP part number. It looks like this one from Gennadiy's collection.

Are you sure that is an HP part number? I thought they always took the form XXXX-XXXX, which would mean the above chip is missing a digit in the first block of the house number...

HP chips seems to have a XXXX-XXXX form since their first chips, so the XXX-XXXX would be strange, wouldn't it?

Think No I'm not sure. I thought it's a HP part number.
If it isn't a HP pn - what do these markings mean ?
