Hey All,

These three chips have been stumping me for a while. My web searches are coming up dry. Anybody have an idea about these?

The RCA one says it is a MOS device on the shipping packaging. I think MEC stands for Motorola?

Thanks,
Metalmaker

Chipcollector,

thanks - I guess i should have mentioned that i know how to read the date codes and am hoping for some information on function. BTW these chips are available for trade so if you have a good trade in Hell just let me know and I'll drop these down my basement drain - should reach you in Hell in a couple hours. I do like that 6800L Motorala chip you just picked up.

ATT3090 is probably an FPGA chip. ATT 30x0 family is similar to Xilinx 30x0 family, so ATT3090 should be similar to XC3090.

I can't find anything on other chips.

Hi,

Gennadiy is right about your ATT3090, it is exactly the same chip than the first of this picture, except the speed.

There is many data on the net about xilink 30x0 family

Desideriu.

Thankyou everyone. The info on the AT&T chip was esspecially helpful. In reference to the Raytheon chip, I am not familiar with the term "ASIC" - does it mean "Application Specific Integrated Circuit" ? I am just guessing from my own line of work which uses the term "ASC" to refer to "Application Specific Controller" in reference to specialized control units for building automation systems.

You are correct.

ASICs are pretty common, in bulk they are much cheaper, flexible, and faster then say a PLD or FPGA.
