I have recently acquired a 2.5ghz P4M to replace my 1.8 in a thinkpad laptop. It does not have the usual sspec on it for a 2.5 and bears a date of 01. The sspec no. is sSpec Number qtg3. I have done a good search on the web but can find no info on it.
Did intel build any hyperthreading into the engineering samples? |

I'm sure they did, otherwise how could they test it? Unfortunately, Intel doesn't publish information about engineering samples, therefore it's impossible to tell if your processor has hyperthreading or not.

| It's actually quite simple; In order to find out if you have hyper-threading, install the cpu, start up windows, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and go to the PERFORMANCE Tab. If you have a CPU Usage block split in two, that means you have 2 processors, or HT. |

| Also, Device Manager will show two processors if HT is enabled. |

| Thanks for the replies - looks like no hyperthreading is enabled |
