OK, let's try again....sorry missed a few key resolutions Embarassed

Just working away on my site and trying to gauge what resolution members have their screens set to, so I can optimise the display

the counter that I use on my site keeps track of all this as the people visit the site, it also will track the browser and windows version as well as alot of other useful info.

1280 x 768 here. In my opinion, the site should be optimized for 1024 x 768, because good percentage of visitors (15% according to Wikipedia) still use that resolution, but less than 1% uses 800 x 600. 1280 x 1024 is another popular resolution. It's better not to go higher than that.

Here is what viewers of CPU Shack use:



However, people who are less 'techy' still use lower resolutions

I'm one of those that still use 1024x768. Never been a fan of wide screen.

Same here, and I hate above all things having my face reflected all the time on the screen...

1680x1050 on XP system. My webpage is designed for 1024x768 too.

I hate 16:9/10... but I can live with it.
But all that glossy stuff they put on them to make colors more vivid just end up having a mirror and needing to dim light like Deckard testing Rachel.......

Resolution is important, house pc has a big 22" full hd, and I love it.
