I can't find info about Cyrix III 466 (Samuel). I think if it have unlocked multiplier (maybe early part) that is remarked higher model - fake. If multiplier is locked that can't be fake. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

the Crix-III is based on the winchip2 core (aka winshyt) it wasnt until the C3 that VIA got performance to a decent level.
I too love VIA still though

Ehmmm not Winchip 3 core ? IDT had final version of Winchip 3 and at same time was bought by VIA conern. C3 support more instructions and have L2 cache so as John said - this raised performance. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
