hello,
I suggest change forum trade/sale conditions. Author must write price if he would like to sale item. No PMs, emails with offers and playing with forum users. He can always ask about value in information request section or just PM someone before writting sale topic.
I would like to hear you opinion. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Yes, if sellers want bidders, use eBay. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

| Yes I agree. State the price or go to ebay/other. |

I totally agree as well. If bidding were open (ie we can see who has offered what) it would be different, but we now have a regular seller (who I suspect is just that - a seller and not a collector...) who puts even the most common chips up for private/hidden bids!
I would go farther than you and suggest that people who are primarily traders and not collectors should not be able to use the forum as a cost-free shopping market (of course, this doesn't apply to those who sell a lot of stuff and are also collectors...) _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Good idea ! But that will be hard to introduce. Who is who ? Someone will post here but not collect CPUs can't sale in forum ? That will be to hard decision for admins so I think it wouldn't be accepted but I agree in 100% in that suggestion. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

All just sour grapes because you can't afford the stuff.
Personally I don't see much difference between posting a fixed price and letting the buyer(s) set the price.

When you go to a shop do you expect to go to the cashier and bid for the items you want to buy?
We have ebay or other auction sites for bidding, its fair, and you can even have private bidding there as well. So far all the votes have been for fixed prices to be asked in the sell your item forum. |

*sigh*
This isn't a shop, it's a collector's forum. The only ones being harmed by asking for offers are cheapskates with outlandish expectations for the prices of things.
