The CPUID is on many pages under each spec on this site.

Look at:

They are the same - you can ignore "h" at the end. The "h" just tells that the number is in hexadecimal format. CPU-Z doesn't show it.

You mean that this would be a (first known?) chip to deliberately fool CPU collectors?

hi, i think that the identical CPUID of this two chips dont imply fake

what the CPUID of the Q056-SY016 would be if it is genuie ?
i think it ought to be the same as SY016

the most likely story of this Q056-SY016 is that
it is rebelled ( remarked ) after produced as SY016
if the remarked procedure is done by the intel's factory , it is genuie
if the job is done by non-intel factory , it is fake

IMHO,if the CPUID is different --> it is fake
if the CPUID is the same--> no answer

We discussed this a few months ago, can anyone find the thread? If I remember correctly one was on sale on ebay at the time, it did not fetch very much money.

edit: this is not the thread.. but look at this .. SY016 as a boxed pentium Very Happy This spec gets around. It is very promiscuous.

and another...

Here is the thread....

CPUbar we have been here before.

The result of that was still inconclusive.... so...
All I can say is I would not buy it for much money.
