Like somebody said : Life isn't fable. That's true. Actually I have opened own company but there is small work to do and I have started to worry about financials. I thought about sale complete collection but that isn't way to fix my problem. Giving up do not fix anything. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Sad to hear that but keep your pecker up man!
I had probably not exactly the same situation
like you but was also on the brink giving up
collecting. Result was ignoring collection for
several months and then got into it again
with full fervor!
Ignore your collection for some months
and then consider the situation again!
Maybe reallocating your time and money
in another (less "collective") way will
mend your situation. _________________ Ordem e Progresso |

Hang in there & don't make any decisions now. Time is always on your side, so let some pass and everything will work out ok. _________________ My former Intel collection:

Hadn't you noticed how much I've bought and posted this year?
Not sure I will rebuild my collection as quickly as I destroyed it _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

It is not so long ago I posted there "I give a ... on chips" because of a private desaster.
I found my way back to life and fun (costed me some money, I am glad I have my chips left so I can sell some now, lol).
No idea what happened to you and your girlfriend but I learned that mental strength AND professional help can do a good job. pm me if you like, maybe I can give you some tips (two months may be not too late).
I wish you all the best, Michael _________________ You may use the photos I have posted here under CC BY-NC-SA license. |

Dont let a woman mess with your life man.
If you want her back, great!
If you don't, great!
But don't let that decision control the rest of your life. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Here's my 2 euro-cents worth:
Not an easy situation and I'm no expert... but it's important that you let your partner know what your priorities are. It sounds to me she is priority #1 and collecting is priority #2, so let her know or show her that.
My guess is that she does not want you to stop collecting... she just wants you to show that she's the most important thing in your life.
Whatever happens, I hope you can be happy. |

I tend to think that the collections themselves are not as important as the knowledge accumulated through discussion and research by forum members...
However I don't see much interest in "destroying" a collection: it's like breaking a unique object because you are enraged. You feel even worse after it because the action is not constructive.
If you want to free yourself some time, put your collection out of the way, stop thinking about it, and I'm sure than one day or another you will be glad to rediscover it.
Hope this helps. |
