I have a blank pentium with an unsoldered die cap ( die cap held by tape) - and die is present.
It came along with a 25year anniversary booklet from Intel and a large Pentium wafer. Sadly the packaging was bad and the wafer arrived broken.
I didnt pay much for it, about $15 at the time (about 1-2 year ago), and it appeared to come from an Estate clearance.. so I wonder how it came to be released by Intel and why..... |

There are 223 different Pentium Sspecs in x86-guide database (201 if you exclude Overdrives). + 139 QSpecs... |
Genna has 190 Pentium sSpecs in his database.
Three of those are fake (SL241, SL27X & SY126)
plus if you add in the 22 overdrives.. makes the total 212
and if you add in the two D step PCPU5Vs that werent given a sSpec.. that takes the total to 214 (or 211 without the fakes)
so what are the missing sSpecs
edit >> three fakes sSpecs, not two
double edit >> Mixeur, i did a check of sSpecs listed on your site.. was a total of 212 including ODs & fakes
So your site has the same number of sSpecs as Genna.. but not sure why your database is saying 223 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Chips like that (blanks, unknown writing, etc.) are my favorite. Figuring out any odd markings and what they are is alot of fun to me. I tested the first two of these blank Pentiums and one of them turned out to be a thermal sample. The second one seems to need a ES motherboard and I just received one so hopefull I can test it soon.

I am really looking forward to seeing your Pentium collection online |

How did you decide it needed an ES motherboard and how do you find one?
Any special markings? _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

I presume that TT80503266 SL23M will be added to Genna's database... so the total will increase to 215 (or 212 without fakes) _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

TT80503266 SL23M was added
I presume that GC80503CSM 166MHz EXT SL3B8 will be added to Genna's database... so the total will increase to 216 (or 213 without fakes) _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

| I'm now at 167 + 19 ES, but the 167 includes the fake sspecs, so I guess only a few away! I've only got the SY126 from the 3 fakes above...any others? |

I've only 46 sSpecs (including 3 OverDrive sSpecs), but some of them in higher quantities.. I also do not have any ES Pentium nor QS or MS Pentium
Well, I guess there will be a time where I will also have 100+ Pentium sSpecs _________________ Sorry for my bad English - I'm working on it!
