Hm... Stalker looks very promising, I may use it as an excuse to upgrade my Athlon XP game system to something faster Smile I hope the game won't be as linear as Doom 3 and Half Life 2.

I think we should all find a game we play in common, and make a CPU-World clan! Perhaps Counter-strike?? Cool

I thought Doom3 sucked. I actually uninstalled it the day after I bought it.

Half Life2 single player was pretty good. Don't care much for the multiplayer. Will be interesting to see what Team Fortress 2 looks like if they ever release it.

Graphically, I still think Farcry is the best looking game I've seen yet but the multiplayer is not very good. That said, it's worth getting for the single player.

As far as multiplayer, my favorite game is still Battlefield 1942 with the Desert Combat Mod. Watch the credits in Desert Combat and you'll see my name;).

If want to see an awesome video clip from Battlefield2, check out:

P.S. All the vehicles in Battlefield games, tanks, planes, helecopters, etc.
are playable. You just jump in the plane, the tank, the chopper, etc and go.

Many of the vehicles carry multiple players. For example, a blackhawk can carry a pilot, co-pilot, several door gunners, and I think up to six other guys inside.

Scouts can spot for other players on artillery which may be firing from miles away. Lifesize aircraft carriers carry planes, choppers and anti-aircraft guns. There's subs, landing craft, AC-130 gunships, C-130 cargo planes, pickup trucks, and cars.

I'm not into multiplayer games - they take too much time Sad I'd rather spend this time on somehting more productive... like single player games Smile I meant on the website. I liked HL2 graphics more than FarCry, but FarCry gameplay was better. Painkiller was an interesting game too - with very good graphics, lot of different environments, power-ups and my favorite Serious Sam-like action.

Blizzard strikes again:)

I swore that I would never buy another Blizzard game after they nerfed
the character I had spent hundreds of hours developing in Diablo II. Words can not describe my contempt for that company.

When Blizzard finally purged Bill Roper and a number of his
cronies some hoped that maybe, just maybe, things might change.
But the fact is, Blizzard is rotten to the core.

Now I hear that as the WOW servers fill up those unlucky players who
wind up on a full server are having to wait in queue for 2 hours just to get into the game. No problem, just allow the players to move their characters to another server, right? Blizzard will have none of that!
Their answer has been "create a NEW character on another server".

It was really funny reading the posts on Blizzards forum from those
who had never experienced such evil before... "Uh, they can't be serious?", "But I've spent months developing my character", etc, etc.

Little do these players know, their pain is just beginning. Soon will come
the hacking and dupping, then the "character rollbacks" (That's were they restore the character databases back to what they were a month or before), then finally the character nerfing.

Many said it would be different this time since WOW is a pay to play game, that this wouldn't be like Diablo2, but these people do not understand that Blizzards arrogance has no bounds.

This will be fun to watch:)

I've always hated the idea "Pay to Play".

jokes on them, im playing on my roommates account, so i havent given them a dime. Razz

ive always hated blizzard. i was playing this morning before bed, and they shut the servers down at 5am.. which they did yesterday. only my second day playing and theyve shut them down right in the middle of my playtime two days in a row..

then it was down for 6 hours for 'maintenance'

good job!

makes me glad im not paying them for it. id be PISSED if i was paying them $X a month and it kicked me out every morning in the middle of when i can actually play the game.
