Fortunately we have a quite good banking system here in Europe!
You can open a bank account only if you personally present your ID card to a bank employee. And the clerks have a habit to compare your face with the picture on the ID card.
All the money transfers are final - there are no chargebacks (unless you go to police). As you can understand the scammers will "hesitate" to go there.
The fees are also very low compared to PayPal or credit cards. I can send the money to all EU countries with EURO currency for free. The receiver will pay the same fees as if he received the money from a domestic wire transfer. And If I receive a payment the fees will be only 0.05 EUR
That's why I try to avoid PayPal for the payments within Europa. |
