Someone paid over $300 for one of those. Are they really worth that much?

LOL, blurring the seller but not the URL. Not that you need to, can just search for it on ebay. Was watching that auction but pulled back, to much $$ for me.

It was intentional. That forum is rather strict with posting eBay links. In the immediate, I think its OK to to manually type in the URL (most people won't). But once the link expires in (1 year?), I don't want the seller's name still being advertised, so its blacked out.

I cannot tell if you are serious or joking. Is the PF110 worth less or more?

He is da... serious - trust me. If you compare it to Cyrix 586 133 value I would say Nexgen should be valued to min 1000 USD. That is my opinion.

Really? Not too long ago, a PF100 with motherboard sold for $529. If the CPU itself is worth $500, then the motherboard is almost worthless? I find the motherboards more difficult to find than the CPUs.

You say its valued at $1000 now. Has the price doubled in 6 months?

I didn't say it is worth 1000USD. It was comparison to Cyrix 586 133 value growth.
And if we talking about really rare items please try value Nexgen motherboard with Nx587 socket Wink

Hard to know if it does worth this kind of money - ultimately the buyer decides.

To me (at least) it matters if the CPU works and if I have a system to use it with - at least at this phase of building my little collection. I anticipate some challenges soon Smile

The PCI-based board I have has solder pads for mini DIN PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports. Has anyone been able to get a PS/2 mouse working on this board?

From what I've been able to measure, the board is not properly wired to work with a PS/2 mouse. Unfortunately, the board comes with a PLCC-44 keyboard controller, so swapping it with something like this adapter won't work, https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?p=463517#p463517

It is probably not worth hacking the PCB directly due to rarity, especially if the BIOS doesn't have the proper bit set for PS/2 mouse operation.

Has anyone run extensive ALU based benchmarks to determine is there is any performance hit or benefit from PF vs. P chips os the same clock rate? I assume they are the same, but has it been checked?

Are you able to run ALU benchmarks, e.g. Doom, between the black top and the silver top at the same core frequency?
