well, isnt the best way to rank a collector/collection, but here we go:

- CPUs - around 2000 different CPUS (i'll count them soon , for me to know, not for you Smile )
- other chips - Eproms and various ICs -1000+
- graphic cards - 200+
- soundcards - few - most of them went to recycling
- motherboards+CPU 20-30 (from 8088->C2D)
- different vintage boards - 50+
- laptops 100+
- 8 bits computers 30+
- complete desktop computers - from XT to C2D 25+
- many many other stuff

I don't like rankings, because each collection is different: in structure, philosophy and history.
And I don't like thinking "He is a better collector than me" only if he has a double of cpus than me.
By the way,to make you happy, here is my contribute to your list:
I have (today) 375 different cpus, by 73 different manufacturer, and I'm waiting for two other little spiders and the 74th manufacturer.
But my idea of "different" may be different than yours or others.

Thanks to the support and participation of collectors.
Because of the tight time, only 100 collectors' information was collected.
My goal is to include all collectors in this list.It will tell you, "Who is collecting with me?"
Bring all engineering samples and rare collections to the list.
"Great hardware deserves permanent memory!"

I think half my collection is still with AVICC Smile I'm sorting through several hundred graphics cards at the moment.

in this case it would be cheaper for you to move there than to send the chips to UK Smile)

A part of your old collection of cpu is in my showcase Smile; 54 pieces, since September 2008.
I still remember that buying.

You might put scheideanstalt.de or demotronic at first, they maybe have a million cpus.
To be serious, we are not here for competition and I do not weight an albilo N8X300I against a random modern Sspec Intel.
Here are serious collectors not even having heard about that N8something I am talking about and I don't even look at a modern CPU other than bored.
Both perspectives are OK and I respect this.

For me people like Frederic Imbert (he creates artworks from CPUs), John (for his profound knowledge and generous service), Genna (for creating this platform), Dan Nelson (showing up here with the very first 6501 find) are "the kings", just to name a few, regardless of any count.

I don't want to be mean but I clearly do not like this Idea and you might consider to keep this for your own records if you stick to counts.

I would also ignore this topic if it would not show up in my unread list again and again lol

In comparison these "who has the oldest..." topics make sense as they show f.ex. a count and provide knowledge on dates and specs.

This discussion has awakened in me the question: but how many CPUs do I have in my collection?
in all these years I have never counted them and I do not keep an excel sheet.
Today is a gray and rainy day, so .... go with the count !!
they are currently 3818
few or many I'm happy with those present
