I dont know why but Super PI is the choice of many overclockers to test the performance increase from a overclock. Also you cant compare results from PI fast to Super PI. _________________ CPU-Me! Hippo's Collection Online |

| I can get access to my 450mhz P3 and 450mhz K6-2 on Sunday/Monday and get some results... Perhaps you want something slower? |

Sounds like I need to get my test systems set up - I could test on anything from 386 up (dependant of course what is the oldest OS, and hence system, that SpuerPI or pifast will run on...) if I had my work area organised and not cluttered up with loads of computer remains
I doubt it'll run on anything older - I would test on a 286 with DOS if I thought it would work (that's one that I think I can get set up without moving a room full of boards and boxes around), but I suspect that such a benchmarking app will only work with a bloatware OS installed. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

From the help file it says that you can run Super PI on Win 3.1 with win32's installed.
So maybe a 286 with Windows 3.1 in real mode lol? _________________ CPU-Me! Hippo's Collection Online |

I thought about my 286 system because a 286 can run pmode code, just not 32-bit I guess there might be a tweak to enable emulation of 32-bit code on a 16-bit system, but that would really slow things down May get 1k places in an hour _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
