Help, I am lost... I want to upgrade my VIA KT133 based PC

I think the first post I put on here was will a 462 mobile CPU work on a desktop M/B and a member told me it would and I love it, I don't know if it was a athlon 4 or a athlon xp m. I think it was a 4 because it was only 1000, and don't think athlon xp m went that low you can look on the site to see. As for XP or Vista you can put Xp on it and run thier program to see if it meets thier minimum supported requirements. Just to warn you my laptop top is only 2 or 3 years old and I ran it. It told me everything was great and put it on. Had to take it off because everything went crazy LOL. But if the CPU work they a great. They will overclock themself or mine does and are 85c instead of 80c
