Being an Engineering Sample means there is also a good chance they wont work on your board in duel mode as well.

Hmm, It would be nice that the seller would reply wilt some usable information, like this cpu's are used as a set (they are almost matched, it's like 4 numers of a exact math).

I'll try and stress test the cpu's apart from eachother.

sometimes engineering samples, require an early or even ES board.

that power capacitor can be easily soldered on original place if traces are not broken - I make that job by hot air. Professional service in your town should have that tool.
