This list contains 178 S-spec numbers, so I guess it's a full list of Pentium S-specs, and not a list of "wanted" s-specs.

Yupp, sorry for bad english. The list above is a list of all known s-specs to have in a collection. The list im using to know what s-specs to have. Out of those 178 in the list i have 103.
The list in the first post in this thread are s-specs that i have never seen (or documented in chipdb.org) |

The list of s-specs is taken from cpu-world.com and it seems like this is (now?) listed as a fake. Removed from wanted list.
To all, this thread has been "away" for a while so its time to bump it. Check if you got any of the chips in the list in the first post.

does the laser print on the fron lower left corner always indicate the speed? 'coz I never seen anything like this on a non-box one

Interesting! I have no idea but, that would indicate that the SL26Q is a fake if Gennas data is correct. Since we in fact are the ones building the reference for this i would have to say that we class the SL26Q as a fake and add yours as the real thing. Will update the database in the coming weeks

The font on the SL26Q CPGA looks very suspicious. And, if I'm not mistaken, Intel used computer-style zero (slashed zero) to mark speed on boxed processors.

Interesting. I agree most Intel chips appear to have slashed zero on the top engraving and not slashed zero on the bottom printing.

Whats the reason why some S-spec chips are not found on Intel website?
I had a look for Pentium S-spec I have, but it reports from the Processor Spec Finder that it does'nt exist?

Im not sure why but yes there seems to be many chips missing. The further back you get, the more gaps.
Pure speculation... Its just that the s-spec finder was made long after the first Pentiums came out and they do not have detailed documentation easily available. They would need to go dig in the archives to get the info. Or just visit cpu-world.com
