Because of a lot of coincidence:

IBM had (still?) a plant in Canada, were they manufactured CPUs for Cyrix
No AMD fab in Canada
I for IBM in the right corner?
I read that IBM officially manufactured K6 chips for AMD (second half of 1998).
AMD had production issues in early 1997 (ct article)
No Malay markings on Chips with Canada/CA and I markings

Comments?

Was it only during the second half of 1998 that IBM produced the K6 for AMD? I came across a few references to IBM's production of the K6.
