Some say yes some say no. Hence two collectors with exactly the same chips may give them a different count of the number of different chips, making it an unreliable measure. |
100% agree. I think we all can't define one short most important word - "different" in CPUs counting. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

I give up from this forum suggestion

Im not sure i follow you but a common way is to reply with "yes" "me too" "agree" to increase your postcount not because you really need to reply. Of course these are legitimate replys also and should be used around the forum. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. I agree with your point of view. That is hard to define when answers like that are spam (two, three, four in topic ?) That is why on some forums users got WARNINGs from moderators - I think that is one most important duty of moderator. When warnings are many account is blocked for some time or for always. That is going to be hard discussion so I will pass from new idea about creating RANK. Still I think that could be nice add-on and nobody will change my view but I see most of users don't want so I'm outvoted. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Got it!
My oppinion is just that we are placed in ranks everywhere in our daily life that we dont need it here. I think its a nice fun addon, but it brings other things to the forum, posthunting is one.
What does ranking here tell? How "good" collector you are?
GlinGlin: Of course! The posthunting im talking about is perhaps a bigger issue in larger forums where you have hundreds or thousands of posts each day. _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. This place (cpu-world.com forum) is specific place because here all users knows oneself. I suspect we are responsible for did things. Moderators are responsible for forum's content and "fair play" users. Rank will tell to everybody : user's commitment on forum not resource of knowledge. I think all forums based on same rule. That is exactly same as at school : most active students not mean they are most clever. Exam will show how it is in fact. Here we can't do exam Sorry for spelling, grammatical and other bugs in my sentences. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

| Marcin Majewski wrote: | | I have next suggest. Will not be a problem and much time to change search engine propeties ? Quick search is better when it search keywords in section when user is. I mean when I opening trade/sale forum and trying to search Pentium 133 I got results from all forums. |
Done. Now when you're on the forum page and you use search box in the top right corner you'll get search results for current forum only. On any topic page it will also return results for current forum only (the forum where the topic is). On all other pages it returns results from all forums (as before). By the way, I also fixed it so it will search now for all words. Before it would search for any word you specified in the search box.
Give it a try.

Know what ya mean about always being out of space. I use more space for PMs than I ever use in my email in-box _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I have a bloody lot of them (I am always out of space too) |
I increased the maximum number of PM messages in inbox for everybody from 400 to 600. I doubt I'll be able to add PM search - too much programming.
