Yes I know its stamped Motorola
However, this isnt a normal style Motorola Package.
And as far as I have seen, Motorola has never used that font

Intel however did, in the second half of 1981

See pics

I guess the back print is done at the plant, the top print somewhere else, maybe at the headquarter.

Why not imagine a plant working for Intel AND motorola?

It's possible, but rather odd, back printing should e done by the assembly/test plant.

What is odd is the date difference, 3 years from the motorola, to the Intels.

Have you seen any other Motorolas with that font?

Guys, look at the packages of National
Semiconductor`s chips, there are so
many variations that I thought I`ll get crazy. Mad
This is especially for older chips of National Semi,
maybe they aquired 1000 blanks here
and 1000 blanks there, buying all odd lots
of empty packages for own production.
OR they gave a manufacturing order to
a lot of companys no matter what the
package will be. Exclamation
The famous white AMD 2901ADC`s have
always a "RAYT(dc)"-printing, so very
probably produced by Raytheon.
I guess that many many other old
chips are produced by a lot of
semiconductor manufacturers we not
even know the name of. Shocked

the whites all seem normal, just seems very interesting given the difference in time frames.
