(Note: I assume that a week begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday, although this is not a standard convention in many countries.)
Saturday January 1 2000 was week 1 that began a leap year.
Sunday January 2 was the start of week 2.
Sunday December 31 (the 366th day) was the start of week 54.
So my question is: were there any processors produced on December 31 2000 that bear the date code 0054? |

The week would have been numbered either from when it started, or when it ended, not both. That means there could be a week 53 but not a week 54. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Ah, I figured they would increment when the year ends, even when that happens mid-week. Apparently that is false.
So then in the example above, chips produced on
Sat January 1 would be marked 9952
SUN January 2 would be 0001
and thus Sun December 31 would only be 0053?
Darn, I was hoping to start a quest for the elusive and rare week 54 chips. |
