I didn`t know they exist.

43,39€ on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130250069215&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003

There were some discussions if it`s fully compatible. Any information about that.

Oh damn, I missed it Sad Sad Sad

It's seems to be a very late prodution part... B = 1991... and the databooks (which list this CPU) say all *in development*. Damn! 43 is extremly cheap. I think the value is much beyond a C4004...

Agreed, a very fine example of an almost unknown 286.

Isnt this East germany's ONLY x86 CPU?

The soviets made 808x CPU's but a 286 is much nicer (a 186 would be cool too)

The chip is uncommon in many ways. There are not many real SMD chips in eastern block. The U80601 is not mentioned to be fully compatible with i286. I will take a picture of the datasheets I have of this chip.

The picture from Wikipedia shows the same U80601 chip that was offered for sale on eBay. Smile

One of my acquaintances is an Wikipedia author. I "met" him on eBay - he asked me for a permission to publish my chips' pictures on Wikipedia Germany.
Since then I've published more than 40 chip pictures there.

I think my friend have also asked the seller of the U80601 if the chip's picture can be used for a Wikipedia article.

Here are some Wikipedia articles with my pictures.
Not all of these pictures are from me, but the best ones are mine. Very Happy
