I bought some sounds card from USA ebay seller. they arrived yesterday. the seller marked them as commercial samples. and the total value is more than $250. I was charged more than 50uero by local custom Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad

Did you encountered such things too? how to avoid this to happen?

We have to pay GST (10%) and sometimes duty (5%) if the value is >A$1000. You should check the threshold in China for imported goods and then get the seller to put a value lower than the threshold. If you want them insured for the full value though, you can't do this.

I ALWAYS put a low value, and 'Gift' on packages I send to people

I try though to make the value, more then the cost of postage.
