Ebay introduced a so called "new search" some days ago.

The algorithm is extremely buggy and is able to find only 1/5 to 1/10 of the items listed on eBay that match your searching criteria! Sad

In return you will get tons of items listed that do NOT match any of your criteria. In Ebay's opinion these could be also of big interest for you. It's not a bug - it's a feature. Ebay admits it openly! Apparently Ebay installed surveillance cameras inside our heads.

Another problem caused by the new search engine is the non-appearance of the "saved search" emails. I don't know if it is a bug or a brand new feature. If you try to type your saved search strings into the appropriate field they will not work anymore. If you have the big luck to catch a server with an old search engine installed on it your strings may work for now.

The users of eBay Germany have the honour to be compulsive beta testers of this cr*p. Because I usually browse the categories and don't use the new search at all I was able to purchase tons of extremely rare chips / boards almost for free. Laughing

at the bottom of the search listing page is a little link 'Opt Out'

It is a great thing
