Hi, I posted earlier about cracked cpu from ebay.
I got a better one from the seller now. its still same T7400 SL9SK

My questions is..

On the back of the CPU, there are only 478pins, and at the corner of the CPU, 2 pins are missing. One of the missing spot has solder spot, and looks like a pin was pulled out (small hole on the solder spot). Is this normal?

I thought SL9SK is 479 pins. and SL9SE is 478.. Do you think previous user might have pulled a pin out to put it in the socket 478?

Thanks in Advance

SL9SK is in 479-ball package. By the way, did you get your processor from this seller?

It looks like they soldered the SL9SK on the 478-pin adapter. I guess it will work like the SL9SE, except that the package is slightly thicker than real 478-pin package.

Ah, I get it.. about the adaptor that goes under..

but mine was not soldered to the adaptor. it looked like balls have been removed and individual pins were mounted in.
