Being at summer cottage today I got very intriguing phone call from local gold scraper... He told me he had found a mobo with GOLD 486!!!
Ofcourse I visited him in one hour.
So I've got strange DEC board...
Even Jérôme's site info didn't help me.
Any ideas? Smile

Nice find Smile

The LSI ones are DEC DC380 and DC379 chips

CAC may be the cache controller

Very good. Now I can complete the two uncomplete lines of my DEC identification table Smile

Good job and nice find!

Hi,
your board is a nice DEC KA630 MicroVAX II CPU (M7606). The two LSI chips labeled "CAC" (DC379 + DC380) are the Microvax Interface Gate Arrays. These chips provide interface between the CPU and the system. You can find a detailed description of the board here:
http://www.vaxination.ca/vms/microvax/mv_ii.html.
The board shown in the picture of this page is the more recent version KA630-A. You have the original KA630. If you download this (huge...) PDF file:
http://www.vaxination.ca/vms/microvax/EK-KA630-UG-001_FEB86.PDF, you'll find inside a complete technical description.
Personally I love VAX cards, they're so cute...

Oh man, your website is fantastic. Unfortunately pictures aren't big enouth to see DEC part numbers so I can't add them in the part numbers list Sad
