I dont know for sure but i thought the print was a bit sloppy on those myself. I looked around and dont see any in the archives like them. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

| I have one of these also and I believe George Phillips that these are genuine C8008's that have been re-marked by a second source distributor. |

Seeing the bottom of the chip may help. Ideally being able to find someone to test it would answer all questions _________________ The two most common elements on Earth are oxygen and stupidity. |

1) 1st rule of chip collecting: Everything is fake, unless you have one in your own collection. Then it becomes genuine as you of course found it in a dumpster in an alley behind Intel.
2) 2nd rule of chip collecting. There is only 1 rule.

Looks to me like poor quality refurbs, designed more to be hidden in equipment than displayed by collectors _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

i have two of these chips in my collection. so, if you all are interested i can open one to have a look with my microscope into it. then we will know if these chips are really 8008 cpus. _________________ INTEL CPU´s, Peripheral,Ram,Eprom... & many Datasheets @ www.cpu-galaxy.at |
