| Could anybody tell me please what is the fastest CPU I can up grade an AMD Duron 1200 to in a Matsonic MS9137C SD/DDR socket A motherboard which only requires swapping the chip and no other changes or software modifications. Many thanks. |

AMD Athlon XP on FSB 266 MHz. What was the last model ... 2700+ ? Propably that one. I'm sure 2600+ will works without problem.

I think 2400+ would be the safest (but not the Mobile version!) as there were also 2600+ models on FSB333 that may not work correctly on your motherboard. Plus they are much easier to find
