The naming convention on this Slot A Athlon doesn't match the normal scheme. It's typically C for Argon, A for Pluto/Orion/Thunderbird. This one has an "R" instead. I saw in the CPU world database that there's a 550 MHz and 650 MHz "R" that are both Argon cores. This one confirms the existence of a 700 MHz version with the "R".

Does anyone know the meaning of the R vs the C and why they are so rare?

I saw this in a recent eBay auction. I was not the buyer.
