EM64T cpu Hyper-Threading technology detected

When I booted up my computer this morning this message popped up. I have done a search as to why and found a few reasons. Now, what I have been trying to figure out is how to.. fix it? I was also looking to find out what difference it would make if it was disabled...

EM64T stands for Extended Memory 64 Technology. Today Intel calls it Intel '64. Read more about it on Wikipedia - Intel 64.

Hyper Threading is found on Intel Pentium 4, Pentium eXtreme Edition, some Xeon's and Intel Core i7 CPU's. Hyper Threading will be something like 'adding a logical' CPU in your existing CPU. In other words: you will have one single-core CPU but your operating system will detect two CPU's. The second 'fake' CPU is able to start another calculation when the first, 'real', CPU is still calculating. This will make the whole CPU more efficient as the 'fake' CPU will use the, at the time of that specific calculation, unused parts of the system. There is also a Wiki page available. It will probably explain better and in more detail .

By the way, don't confuse Hyper Threading with dual-core. Dual-core means there are two real processors (cores actually) in one CPU packaging.
