AMD 64 X2 -CPU OR MB

My pc has gone down. Running AMD 64 4000 CPU. Dont know whether it is mb or cpu that has failed. No post upon booting. Any way to check which needs replacing ?

Post the detailed configuration of the machine.

Try removing all HDs, optical units. Reboot.
Remove all installed cards except video card if used.

If still not working, try one stick of ram at a time.

If nothing still could be m/b or cpu.

If does not start at all maybe a bad PSU.

Have done that. Stripped mb and rebuilt with only RAM and cpu. Current to board seems fine. No graphic output at all. No post screen. Checked RAM too using different cards and slots.
