i have read forum topics where they have come up, but i'm still bemused Confused Some say it nearly rare, others have sold or traded them as common Confused

I have a mint condition 200MHz non-MMX PPGA Pentium SU114 (boxed without attached heat-sink) which i believe is very uncommon.

What is peoples feelings on it rarity?

Do u have a boxed non-MMX 200 (with or without heat-sink) in ur collection?

Mine http://www.cpucollection.se/details.php?image_id=921

(Im really bad at Pentium s-spec rarity, but in my head, there will be a project some day at chipdb.org or here in the forums, where we go through all collected s-specs. Both check collections, and eBay.)

You can not use ebay as a reference of rarity. With all the eBay seller changes, I think many sellers are not bothering to sell or have moved to other places to sell.

Take for example, 386 or 286. Years ago they were very common on ebay. Not so much now. Even different 486 sspecs are hard to find.

So perhaps researching individual s-specs is not doable yet? Going only on collectors would not give the quantity needed since we are few that are on s-spec level.

SU114 is a common chip in this moment.

I agree with JAC, now the quantity of 486 in scrap yard is less than before and keep on lessening.

Yes there is a time for every chip generations.

When I got my SU114, it was not easy to find.

(I noticed that I don't have it in my collection. If you are able to find one easily, I'm interested Wink )

Likewise, if they are common where you are and the price reflects that, I would like one Smile
