I'm a new member here, but it seems every time I try to identify a processor, I type in the model number into google and sure enough CPU world is always the top one on the list. This site is just too damn handy and so I've been collecting computers from the local dump and have accumulated a few processors.
I noticed a lot of the processors I look up on here are in fact documented, but not many have pictures. Well this is why I signed up, I want to help out around here and start putting pictures in with my nice fujifilm camera. mmmm everyone loves macro shots right?
When the administrator approves my pictures I'll post links to the ones I've updated. I hope I can be of help! _________________

Otherwise this is a great site for images... http://www.chipdb.org/ But adding more images here is a great idea too. Anything that contributes to the community are welcome! _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

I have quite a few cpu's, some rather common, and a couple really oldies. I'll put some pictures up after supper.

I've noticed the site mentioned on here a couple times but I think I'll go check it out. Thanks! _________________

Also, I forgot to ask. Would using a scanner be better than trying to take macro shots of the processor? Perhaps that's what I'll use instead for my smaller cpu's.
Oh yeah and has anyone ever though of adding a section for old mems?? _________________

an Intel/GeForce Mac? nah, 'tis not a Mac anymore IMO. A proper Mac is a Motorola one
ps. do you use anything else to surf the net besides a PC/"Mac"? I often use a Nokia E51 _________________ Power without the price. |

I just tried to use my scanner today to scan in a AMD 333 and it's out of focus in some areas where it's raised, is there a way to trick the scanner into focusing?? _________________

If I can get a half decent tripod for my digital camera and some good white lighting, I could get some stellar pictures. _________________
