Nah, they are meant for mounting inside a vehicle. They have the mounts on the back. |

Its all about who you know!
Yes, some more to come in the future. Please be patient; I've got more than chips to focus on at the moment. |

Adam, Can this unit be rigged to receive wireless web at Starbucks?
If so, I'll take one also, just to get "WTF" stares from other customers...lol
...forgot to ask> Does this PC take a standard SCSI Hard Drive that is available somewhere and does it come with a power supply adapter? |

Same question basically. If the original HDD was removed (understandable...), will there be a HDD, or is there an interface to attach a standard HDD (SCSI or otherwise) externally, and do they come with a power adaptor?

Yes--of course...
I'm used to built-in laptop Wireless, so I forgot about the "old-fashioned" PCMCIA card!
Did you mention the maker of these units?

Getting drivers to work with Windows 98 or Windows 2000 may be a problem _________________ The two most common elements on Earth are oxygen and stupidity. |

Are you saying that pre-XP systems had no wireless support??
It doesn't seem that long ago. |

Yeah John, you could use a WiFi card. Just use Linux so don't worry about support in Win 9x.
If enough people show interest, I will fully strip one (a scrap one if I can get it cheap), to give an idea about how upgradable it is, what exact CPU it uses etc.
Regarding the HDD, it is in a caddy (also removed, as they have the annoying habit of doing). I'd have to study it in more detail to see what sort of caddy would fit.
Manufacturer is European Data Systems. Power adaptor is built in (90 to 240v I think so it will be OK to use world wide, but it has a special plug (included), so don't loose it). Can also be powered from 24v DC. I'll get you some pictures of drive bays, rear ports etc. |
