Hmm - you could always send it here for intensive testing. I wouldn't claim it is mine Smile

Yeah, the kerbside collections are excellent for CPU collectors. The bulk of my collection had some from the side of the road. The latest I've found is a Core 2 Duo 2GHz and some older chips I've found are Z-80, Intel 8085 and 386-16.

Debs.. have you ever trawled your local council recycling site? You used to be able to take things as well as bring them.. but I don't know now since they went 'health and safety' mad... thinking if you take something and it hurts you (cuts, electrocutes, incinerates etc.) then you will sue them. I've occasionally 'swiped' a few small items when taking stuff, but don't think I could make it out with a PC. Anyway, it's not stealing... I pay my taxes! Wink

These days, with council "recycling depots" (better known as tips) all being privatised, I don't know any tips that would let you just walk out with what you want. If it is worth even the effort of carrying out, they will sell it but not give it.
