I have received the c8086, but the one that I purchased off ebay from SteveAE, his username on ebay is svskm5. Come someone tell me if the picture works? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5156610630

I think he removed it from the listing so I will not hold him responsible for the mistake he made ( Or done willingly )
If it does not open, does anyone happen to have it in their temporary internet files???? I really need your help. I've managed to retrieve the thumb nail of the picture below:
http://thumbs.ebaystatic.com/pict/51566106306464_0.jpg

Alone in the thumbnail, you can see that the intel c8086 and the markings below rest in the center of the plate, while the one I received is near the bottom; the copyright symbol is missing a portion on the lower side and there are many more scuffs on the cpu. The intel is connected to the Copyright symbol in my memory and in the thumbnail, the one I have isn't.

I thought he was a good trader Crying or Very sad

Send him an email and explain that the chip you got was not the one in the photo and that you are not happy with it.

I'm pretty sure he will take care of it.

Here is the picture below. For some reason it looks very good in the picture Question

But you can see the differences between the cpu up for sale and the cpu I received.. I have sent him an email concerning the problem, no reply in 9 hours so far. Anyway, I have little interest in it. It's up for trade if you have good chips Smile ( C4004 or c4040 hint hint ) . Gim Meh Good Xhips!

That's a pretty nice looking chip.

Keep in mind that the white part numbers on old Intel chips with black caps tend to rub off easily so it's pretty hard to find these types of chips with a bold clear part number like the one you got.

Absolutely perfect examples of early chips with perfectly centered, boldly printed part numbers are very hard to find.

You might want to keep the one you have until you actually find a better example.

No! Don't listen to him. That chip is terrible Rolling Eyes I will trade you a nice P8080A for it Wink

Actually, I wouldn't mind trading for it. I'll trade you a C4004 for the C8086 and these chips you mentioned in another thread:

Intel Pentium 100Mhz ES Confidential, Made In Malaysia
Intel C8087-3, IBM Print, made in Malaysia
C8008-1, goldstrap in the center datecode 7613 , made in the Phillipines

Let me know.

I want to give you all of those... and the keys to my car. You can keep the c4004 Wink

By the way, do you have any extra c8085's for trade? Find anything interesting in my list for one? ( Does anyone else have c8085 if gman doesn't?)

I don't have any extra C8085s I did see two C8085As on usbid.com but they are on two seperate lines which means they would come from different locations. If you buy only one you will pay a fortune to try and get it as their minimum purchase order is $500.00.

What kind of car do you drive Very Happy

I wish I never doubted steve Sad

He's an extremely nice guy, he let me buy the other c8086 ( if I didn't want to trade it back ) for WAY lower than what I bought it for. It is the one on the auction. So I have two nice looking chips. I just may trade it for that c4004 Very Happy
