Which site do you do it from?
I havent bought any music in ages and I need some tunes.
Yeah, I know for some of you, the "Internet" = a place to get stuff for free. My moral compass is fully functioning and music now is pretty cheap, so I'd rather buy it and enjoy it.
I looked into it tonight and I am really dissapointed...
apple = lame software, is it all DRM free yet? no I dont have an ipod
amazon = some lame d/l software and no chance of d/l again
play.com = limited choice and same problems with downloading again in the future. |

You may already know about this but a great place to get legal free music and some video is the internet archive. There is alot of live stuff and a good variety of all genres. I support the Internet Archive project through donations because I think its a great project overall.

I use Amazon and have absolutely no problems with it. No DRM either.

Free music and videos, searches the internet all over  I don't think you can download on the pc, but it downloads on the iphone
Edit: and dont forget lastfm.com !!! free music radio. You add your favorite artists and it plays their music like a mini radio, with all your favorite songs. There are tons of mobile apps as well for lastfm, works on all phones
