they are server boards, but came out of a two bedroom unit in a residential area. I would say looking at the pile puters on the verge it must of filled at least one room
The pair of P IIs i got yesterday were from a complete full height rack system including the drives. I couldnt lift one end of the unit and that came out of a house also
it has surprised what some people have stored in their homes
i have picked up about 400 - 500 chips & boards in the past 6 weeks and i have another month at least before it ends. Then i will have to start sorting them out before next years collection starts _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Awesome--You're in cpu paradise!
I'm curious if those White Fujitsu's have a gold circuit underneath, like the AT&T White Wafer ceramics from the 1980's?
TIME for a big SALE!!! |

OK-Thats good.
The rubber is silicone and hard to pry off without damaging the chip.
I discovered that soaking the chip Hydrocloric (aka Muriatic) acid will cause the silicone bond to loosen after about 5 hours or more. After you rinse the chip off you can peel the rubber off easily! You'll like the gold circuits that were hidden under the rubber.
Take a pic after so we can see. |
