I have an "athlon xp 1500+" processor will i have to flash my bios to upgrade to the "athlon xp 2400+" processor or is it just a processor swap
again the motherboard is a k7s5a pro |

| My Motherboard is Elitegroup K7S5A and i'm currently using Athlon 1.10, can I upgrade it to Athlon XP's? |

| since K7S5A supports 200 or 266mhz FSB, so the best processor can be used is ATHLON XP 2800+ or below. Beware there are also XP 2500+, 2600+, 2700+ and 2800+ with FSB 333mhz, so make sure you get the CPU with FSB266mhz, or it won't work. |

It depends on your BIOS version if you have to flash it with the newer version. Often, when you put the unsupported CPU, the bios shows a 'UnknownAMD' message during the POST procedures. _________________ Power without the price. |
