Somewhere I have 8 "stacked" ceramic ram chips. I first saw those in use in an early IBM-AT. That was a way to increase memory from 64K to 128K.
When I find them, I'll post a photo. Does anyone else have these in their collection?

I dont have any in my collection, but i have seen them many times before, They look like little double decker buses. Very Happy Thats is exactly why they were stacked was to increase the memory and not the space required to have it in. I think they are pretty interesting chips myself, showing some early inginuity. Hello from Italy,
I have seen many IBM memory cards with stacked chips, either ceramic and plastic DIPs. Here are two examples taken from my website:
http://ummr.altervista.org/tenpictures.htm (see the picture DSCN5864.jpg, IBM System/23 Datamaster)
http://ummr.altervista.org/ (picture memparagon.jpg).
The first picture is better, the second shows a bigger card.
Stacked-chips cards are relatively common in System/34 and /32 machines. Nice cards indeed.
Best,
Paolo
